Sam Kinison makes today's comedians look like Burl Ives. He took comedy where most comedians still don't have the nerve to take it. His comedy was smart, witty, unexpected, dirty as hell, and incredibly funny. With most comedians, you usually get any one of these characteristics except the last. But Sam had it all.
Whether or not you've seen or heard him before, definitely listen to his version of Are You Lonesome Tonight?. And make sure to listen through to the end. There's a signature Kinison touch at the end. This will be a good introduction to him if you haven't heard much of him before.
This official site has audio and video clips, and they switch things around occasionally and add new ones from week to week. But if you need more, check out this site for more clips.
