Subject: Losing Faith in the Lord
I need your help. I'm afraid I've lost my faith in the Lord. While I know that Jesus Christ is the Lord our Savior, the only Son of the all-powerful God in Heaven who looks down upon us from his "cloud throne", smiling like a beautiful little Lamb who says "Yes, you are my people, and I love you, because I am the ever-loving, loving God who loves you", I'm afraid I am losing the Faith to give God the Attention He Requires. I just don't know if I have the Strength that a True Faith requires.
It all happened when I discovered sex, drugs, and rock and roll. I know it sounds like a cliche, but I've found myself preferring the proverbial "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" over the Proverbs of God. I've left God, but I want to come back. But I don't know if I can. And worse yet, I don't know if God wants me to come back. Are naked women, beer, and electric guitars my Satan? What should I do?

Jason Roth
Hello and Happy New Year Jason !
My name is Peter and I am responding to you because there is an overflow of letters to Eden and I am helping today. My wife and I have 5 children ages 9 to 30, and we have lots of experience with life. All is confidential and you may write back should you have any further questions. Jason, it sounds like you are a young person and experiencing what most of us adults have gone through in our youth, facing the temptations and pleasures of this life. You say you are losing your faith in God and do not have the strength required by Him, well join the crowd! Yes, I mean your not alone, we are all in the same boat.None of us has the strength to do it alone, that is why we need His help each and every day. The Bible tells us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. God sent us His Son, Jesus, to bring us back to Him.Jesus' death on the cross paid our sin-debt completely, the sins of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.Jesus provided an open door for us to walk into the presence of God.When we receive the gift of eternal life, God gives us a new beginning ! At some point, every believer must decide that this new beginning isn't just for today, but for a lifetime. After accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we make a committment to follow Him, to obey Him daily.God responds to our obedience with blessings that are awesome! Read Luke 6:38. We have to decide which life we want to live, an earthly one or a Godly one. What do you say? If you make only one new year's resolution, pray to be the person God wants you to be, and plan to follow His lead wherever it goes! It's your choice. Read the faith chapter, Hebrews 11, and highlight the word "faith" in each verse. How many are there? Here's a prayer to say each day and I will pray for you too, Jason. God bless.
"Lord Jesus, take this heart of mine, make it pure and wholly Yours, You had bled and died for me, I will from on live for You, God helping me, for Your Name's sake, Amen."

Dear Peter,
Thank you for your reply. I'm trying to get a clear
idea of the practical solution to my problem. In other
words, what I need to do, specifically, as a next
step. What would be the best way to make the switch
from naked women to the Bible?
Regards,
Jason
Good morning, Jason,
If you are serious about this, then the next step is to confess your
sins to
God, to repent of them, that is to be truly sorry and to be serious
that you
have turned away from this type of living and ask
forgiveness.Because of Jesus' shed blood on the cross, our sins can be
forgiven and washed away.
as long as we are really repentent. Now you will be a new person in
God.Pray
for strength and conviction to fight temptation. The Holy Spirit will be
in
you to help. Also, if you belong to a church, there will be people to
help
you , just ask the pastor.Again, all is confidential.May God be with
you.
Peter.
Thank you for your response. I understand that Jesus
would want to know about the naked women. I will
mention the women to Jesus the next time I talk to
him.
However, is my cavorting with naked women truly a sin
against the Lord? Didn't God create the human body? I
just wanted to know if God would really mind if you
read the Bible and also did a little cavorting once in
a while. I'm not saying to give up the Bible, only to
read, then cavort, then read, then cavort. Also, I
don't want to apologize to Jesus for cavorting with
naked women, if he'll get offended that I'm actually
criticizing Him for making those naked women so darn
tempting.

Jason
