So it was reported on Wednesday that a bunch of white males are accusing Ford of reverse discrimination.
Of course, that it may be happening is completely believable. White individuals are afraid of insulting racial minorities for fear of being called racists, and companies are afraid of hiring too many whites for fear of being sued or getting sodomized by the so-called "Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's" proverbial spiked dildo.
So it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if Ford upper management were discriminating against whites. And while I feel sympathy for whites who get screwed by that evil policy so nicely whitewashed by the words "affirmative action", I need to say one thing to those spineless bastards who are filing the suit against Ford:
You losers are only one small notch below those blacks and other minorities who froth at the mouth at the idea of taking the job of some better qualified white guy.
Why do people so conveniently keep forgetting one little detail about the nature of corporations, before bringing these class-action "we don't feel like updating our resumes and finding new jobs" discrimination suits?
That detail being: the company isn't theirs. Morons like these poor white middle managers have no more say about who Ford hires or promotes than Ford does about who these guys invite to their houses for dinner.
If Joe Nobody from Ford Division 32L in Podunk, Illinois wants to have dinner with just black guys, that's his business. Why? Because it's his home, his food, his choice. Same deal with Ford. If Ford management wants to hide in its shell from potential lawsuits and hire or promote minorities in disproportionate numbers to whites, that's their business.
How dare these whites, blacks, and puke-greens think they can manhandle the companies they work for just because they don't like their company's management practices. Can I claim damages if my boss fucks up his annual budget and makes me get stuck with, god forbid, an old version of Excel? No, you say? But goddamn it, his idiocy could have caused me the embarrassment of having to e-mail back the schmuck that just e-mailed me the 10 Mb. spreadsheet and ask him to resave it in Excel for Windows 3.1.
Don't I get compensated for my boss's idiocy?
No, goddammit. And if your white, black, or puke-green ass doesn't get a promotion because an ass of a different color got one instead - because it was that color - then a few words of advice: Look for another job.
If you have a justification for your act of forcing a racist to hire or promote you, then I'd like to hear it. Ever heard of the freedom of speech, or the freedom of association, or the freedom of trade?
Why some people think these freedoms apply only to the people they want them to apply to, I just don't get.
One more quick comment:
Isn't it interesting how public protesters are almost always liberals? Why might that be?
Oh, I know. Because the conservatives are too busy at their jobs to find time to protest the evils of free trade.
