The fact that the movie What Women Want raked in the most money this past weekend is a sad indictment of our society. What Hollywood is telling us is that all men need to have an ass like Mel Gibson's, and anything less just fails to meet society's arbitrary standard of beauty.
Hollywood holds up an ass to the public (well, not literally, though a few female execs out in Hollywood might like to do that), and says "Men of society, your ass must look like this." The next thing you know, Bally's gyms, liposuctionists, and the baggy jeans division of Levi's are forcing their ass-reducing products and services upon the victimized American male like Tom Seleck's finger on the trigger of a loaded gun pointed at Rosie O'Donnell's head.
See how ridiculous the above male envy sounds? A man could never get away with saying this kind of B.S. (And if you've seen my ass, you'd know I have nothing to be jealous about.)
So the question is: why do some women get away with bitching about society's so-called arbitrary standard of beauty? And more importantly, why would they want to bitch about it? What do certain women hate so much about beautiful people?
There was a time when I would have just said: "Well, it's obvious. Feminists are butt ugly. Therefore, feminists get a little queasy anytime they see a woman with a face that actually permits one to keep down one's dinner. The fact is, the only thing more repulsive than many feminists' ideas is the face that actually spews them."
But then it occurred to me. Could simple envy really provide enough of a motivating force to impel a woman with, shall we say, a face that looked as though it met with a tragic farm accident, to travel from one TV talk show to another, advising us on the hazards of exposing our daughters to the deadly influence of beauty?
The answer is: I don't think so. And even if it is simple envy, these feminazis wouldn't get away with it unless the rest of us actually bought into something they were saying. So what is the thing that provides the spark to a feminist's ass, when common sense would simply say "how stupid does this fucking spark have to be, to want to get within five feet of a feminist's ass?"
The answer: the hatred for objective standards as such.
At one time, feminists had something legitimate to achieve. Discrimination was prevalent, namely the lack of the right to vote. Feminists were fighting for the right to be treated as individuals - to be judged according to their virtues, to the extent such virtues existed. Feminists wanted men to apply objective standards to individuals, rather than to discriminate against others based on such non-objective criteria as gender. One's gender, while obviously having some affect on one's physical limitations (women in the military is a whole other issue), but one's character is fundamentally a product of one's choices.
Now, modern feminists have a different agenda. Modern feminists are campaigning to destroy the concept of objective standards.
Judge an employee based on their experience and competence? Hell, no. Feminists want you to hire a woman because she has a vagina. Any competent, independent woman would be royally pissed if an employer judged her by anything other than her qualifications. That would be real sexism.
And what better way to destroy the concept of "standard" then to rebel against physical beauty? If a person can't apply a standard to a physical entity, what can you apply a standard to?
The fact that there's a higher percentage of girls that become anorexic than boys is a problem. I'm not arguing about that. I'm just saying that the solution isn't to keep girls in a closet and/or tell them that Tiffany-Amber Theissen and Catherine Zeta Jones are no better looking than Gloria Allred.
To answer my original question, what certain women hate so much about beautiful people is that beautiful people all but force you to make a value judgment. I defy any woman reading this not to make a value judgment in the presence of a naked Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt. Remain neutral in that situation, and you've successfully adopted the feminist creed.
Beautiful people are an assault against the anti-standards mentality. Beautiful people cry out to be judged - judged according to standards of physical beauty. Beautiful people drive anti-standards feminists up the freaking wall because they remind the feminists - and everyone else - of the need to apply standards. Feminists know that if they eliminate the concept of beauty, they've succeeded. Once people are so morally-gutless as to refrain from judging someone as beautiful (in the confines of their own mind), then standards are gone.
Anti-standard is anti-mind. Fuck the feminists. (I mean that figuratively, and figuratively only.) Every independent, thinking woman and man should be offended by feminists who demand that you shut off your brain.
Can you imagine a court of law that was afraid to look at facts because some of those facts might not present the accused in a favorable light?
If you, as a reasoning man or woman, happen to judge another person as more attractive than yourself, here's some advice. Acknowledge the facts. Maybe even compliment the person for being beautiful.
And most importantly, consider going into brain surgery rather than modeling.
