About Savethehumans.com

Billing: Society's like a ship. Everyone should help steer the course.

Horster: That may be true on shore; on board ship it wouldn't work so well.

(Ibsen, An Enemy of the People)

Unfortunately, the ship is sinking. It looks like it might go down, and if it does, we're going to make damn sure the people who caused it to sink go down with it.

But the ship isn't going to sink. Not if we have anything to say about it.

Savethehumans.com is a slap in the face. We're observers and critics. We're something like a court jester and more like an electric chair. We're here to rattle some cages. We don't aim to change minds and we don't believe in turning the other cheek.

We're here for people who want to laugh. For people who want to laugh at the irrational, the stupid, the self-righteous, and the plain funny. We're here for people who are tired of jokes about the "oppression" of minorities, the "evils" of big business, and worst of all, the jokes that just aren't funny.

Savethehumans.com is shock therapy. We're the remedy for the politically correct nonsense that spews from the coworker at the water cooler. We're the antidote against the boredom of television sitcoms and the forwarded e-mail joke of the day. We're the people who laugh with you when you laugh at the politician's doublespeak. We're the people who laugh with you when no one else has the balls to laugh.

We're about making you laugh. No more, no less.

"Observe that man is the only being who can laugh...Only man has the power to identify: This is reality - and this is a contradiction of reality."
(Ayn Rand, The Art of Fiction)
We hope that if we help you to laugh at the right things, we just might help you to remember which is which.

Note: If you laugh at the things we laugh at, you owe it to yourself to find out about the ideas we take seriously. If you want to know where we're coming from, read Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged, or visit the website of the Ayn Rand Institute.
